I've never been a huge fan of the July holidays. I don't know, maybe i'm just not much of a firework person? I've never understood how people can love it more thank Christmas, but hey, to each their own. Since i've had kids, I think I have a new found appreciation for holidays I didn't love so much before. It is a reason to celebrate, get out an enjoy the day, be with family, eat good food -- this year's July 4th was a blast and I guess I can say I enjoyed it :).
We celebrated at my moms house in the early afternoon with swimming and a bbq. It was so great to have everyone around eating delicious food. My mom bought a large blow up pool for all of the kids to play in and it was quite a blast. Marley and I spent most of our time rocking in the hammock in the shade, but we still enjoyed the chaos from afar. In the evening we enjoyed going to our neighborhood block party for some more food, games, and talk with our friends.
