Our Marley girl is 2 months old!! Time flies and she is the most wonderful baby. If there is one thing I learned from Noah, is that I wanted to get sleep habits engrained into this girl from the beginning. Of course, you can't sleep train until they are 4-6 months, but starting with good habits can sometimes lead into you not having to sleep train at all. She has a bed time, a pretty avid sleep/feed schedule, and a routine that we stick to pretty strictly. When baby isn't over tire and is getting the sleep they need, I know as a mom, i'm a much happier person. For the past 3 nights she has slept an 11, 12, and 13 hour stretch. During those stretches, she only wakes up one time to eat and goes RIGHT back down. I can't even tell you how good I feel as a mom to be getting these restful nights. I never experienced that with Noah, so i'm really hoping her good sleeping habits stick around for the long haul!
a few of my favorite things from baby girl so far:
-already wearing 3 month old clothes
-her hair and skin color isn't lightening, so fun to have a "dark" baby (at least compared to the transparent one I have now. haha)
-she coos at us constantly and give the BEST open mouth smiles
-she has a clogged tear duct and I have to massage her eye. When I do, if hold her hand she whimpers a little bit but hardly cries. Such a wonderful temperament
-loves the bath, but hates getting out
-always has lint in between her fingers and toes
-never wants to relax her toes and fingers. Always clenching
-hates tummy time
-obsessed with being propped up on the shoulder. Girl girl likes to see everything thats going on
-is so entertained by her big brother, except for when he accidentally drops toys on her head
-loves mama's milk and still going strong nursing
-okay with a bottle. Hoping she gets better at it because mama goes back to work soon
can't wait to see this little girl continue to grow!
2 month checkup: weight 10.7 lbs (33%), height 23.25 (73%), head 15 (26%)
