Baby Bump - 28 weeks (baby is the size of large eggplant)

How Far Along? 28 weeks 3 days -- My due date was moved up to July 1st, which means I'm technically 30 weeks, but I'm still going to go off of my original due date.. because I just feel weird saying I'm all the sudden 11 days ahead of my original schedule.

also, please don't judge my bare belly photo, I really love documenting my belly growing and what it looked like through each stage. This is the only 28 week photo I've taken.

Maternity Clothes? still able to fit into all my shirts/dresses, but wearing a lot of leggings with tunics. I also should probably invest in a new bra.. poor girls are being squeezed to death, but I only have 2 months left, so I feel like I can endure!

Sleep? I had a period of intense upper back pain that was completely debilitating. Travis bought me a Leechco pillow and it changed my life. I've been sleeping like a champ now with the exception of having to pee every few hours.

Best moment this week? we were able to get a 3D ultra sound (see above picture) with Travis and my mom. I wasn't a fan of having to down a bunch of juice packs -- he wasn't facing the camera, so they made me drink a bunch of juice to get him to move, which worked for a slight second for a few pictures. I've spent the last few years looking over our scrapbooks wondering what our child would look like someday.. well since I have a pretty good mental image of both of us at birth, I knew immediately that our boy was a spitting image of Travis. I immediately went home and pulled out his picture from fresh out of the womb and compared it to our 3D picture of our baby. Please tell me you see this too?? in other pictures we have you can tell he has fuller lips and bigger eye sockets (weird that I can tell that? but his big eyes come from me, definitely not my Asian-eyed husband) than Travis, but he sure does have his nose and face shape! it was really fun to get this done.

I also really enjoyed when my sister-in-law offered to paint my toes (you should have seen my own attempt at painting my toes, it was a train wreck) and make them all fancy with Asian designs. She is the best.

Weird pregnancy moment? I still continue to pee when I sneeze. I seriously should have done those keigel exercises that I was told to do from day one. My bladder cannot even control itself with one small giggle.

Movement: he is still as active as ever. I will never get over how amazing it is to feel the baby moving inside of me, gets me emotional sometimes.

Food Cravings: for a while I've been craving watermelon. When I spotted them being sold at Costco a couple of months ago, I invested $8 into an off-season gem and hoped it would be good -- it was. I have bought 3 more since and I go through them in a few days. I swear, all I eat is watermelon and I can't stop!

Anything making you queasy? nope.

What I'm looking forward to: I'm just dying to meet this kid. I love pregnancy, but I really dislike how long it takes! haha.. we are so ready to be parents.

  1. You should do morph.com with both of your pictures to see what the baby will look like. No joke, Ava looks just like the picture I got from morphing ours.
